Independent Testing
EndoTherm has been extensively tested for performance, compatibility and longevity by a number of leading independent R&D facilities.
A summary of the findings and descriptions of ongoing research and development can be found below…

The EndoTherm solution was tested in a controlled gas fired central heating system at the Enertek International Research Establishment during December 2013.
Direct comparison tests with and without the recommended concentration of EndoTherm additive in the system water indicate that the gas consumption of the boiler in the heating system can be reduced by up to 15%.
Declaration of Product Performance
“Direct comparison tests with and without EndoTherm in the system water indicate that the gas consumption of the boiler in the heating system can be reduced by up to 15%. This empirical evidence indicates that the addition of EndoTherm can significantly reduce gas consumption and therefore CO² emissions”
Corrosion Inhibitor Compliance
“The addition of EndoTherm to a solution of inhibitor in both hard and soft water applications does not affect the corrosion inhibition on mild steel, aluminium or copper”
Anti Scaling and Silencing
Use of EndoTherm allows “the heating system to be maintained at its most effective operating conditions by reducing internal scaling as well as reducing noise levels”
Endo Enterprises, the manufacturers of EndoTherm, prioritise research and development and are committed to improving the in-depth understanding of a wide range of advanced water treatment solutions and the environments in which they are applied.
Research and development is constantly active using in-house laboratories, but in addition we also recognise the importance of collaboration through continued investment and work with Universities to build long term knowledge driven relationships.

Within University of Chester, researchers are experimentally quantifying to much higher accuracy than ever before the fluid behaviour changes caused by EndoTherm, and are exploring through simulation impacts of these changes on building and heating system behaviour.
Liverpool John Moores University’s exemplar domestic properties provide an excellent building scale test bed for product and model development allowing us to observe and understand in amazing detail the influence of fluid properties on building heating.

Corrosion and Compatibility Testing

EndoTherm is proven to be non-corrosive in use, compatible with leading brand inhibitors and causes no degradation of heating system components.

EndoTherm is not regarded as hazardous waste as defined by EU Directive 91/689/EEC (No Discharge Requirements).

EndoTherm was proven to be compatible with glycols and found to not impact freeze protection.
Testing found that glycol and EndoTherm dosed samples required slightly less energy to stay at a higher temperature than glycol alone during heating tests. Glycol continued to provide freeze protection during freezing tests while EndoTherm and glycol dosed samples appeared to provide an improvement in freeze protection.
